Sr. Structural Engineer

The Infrastructure Design team is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to support various R&D and Manufacturing projects across the Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood and masonry structures, along with the creation of justifying structural calculations
- Develop drawings, building information models (BIM), calculations, proposals, and reports
- Prepare preliminary designs for quotes
- Perform construction administration tasks including review and coordination of RFIs, RFPs, submittal logs, bids, shop drawings, etc. Interact with contractors, fabricators, stakeholders and consultant teams
- Provide field support including recording existing field conditions, taking and verifying measurements within project area
- Documentation and assessment of existing conditions of a structure using existing documentation as well as field investigations
- Coordinate structural design on multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing (MEP) professionals
- Manage structural projects from estimating through construction
- Direct, develop and mentor less experienced engineering staff
- Degree with Structural Engineering concentration 3+ years of experience in design and analysis or equivalent experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in CA
- Knowledge of software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, RISA 3D, RAM Structural System, BIM/CAD modeling tools (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD)
- Proficiency in building design codes such as ASCE, CBC, IBC, AISC, ACI, NDS
- Advanced proficiency in lateral (seismic/wind) and foundation design and related code requirement
- Advanced proficiency in design considering constructability and construction sequence for fabrication/installation
- Proficiency in developing structural plans, details and supporting calculations for Permit and Construction packages including responding to Plan Check
- Experience in structural design of buildings for high-tech infrastructure, industrial, or operational facilities (automobile manufacturing, semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.) is huge plus

$112,000 - $222,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
