As a Director, Active Equities Technology, you will help develop and lead the strategic direction and execution of technology and data initiatives within the organization. While ensuring strong collaboration and partnership with your business aligned product owner, you will lead a diverse and talented team of engineers and analysts and have the end-to-end accountability for the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions and data-driven strategies to drive business growth and efficiency. Position Requirements Build a high performing team with appropriate competencies (technical and business domain) to deliver services that meet and strive to exceed business expectations. Lead agile software delivery and provide technical oversight and guidance. Drive and empower your team to design, build and support technology solutions according to product roadmaps. Lead and drive engineering excellence within your team focusing on continuously improving Product Craftsmanship, Product Reliability, Product Experience and Team Experience. Help develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for technology and data initiatives, aligning them with the organization's long-term goals and objectives. Cultivate strategic partnerships with technology vendors, service providers, and industry organizations to stay informed about emerging technologies and trends. Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and other key stakeholders to understand business requirements, gather feedback, and communicate progress and outcomes of technology and data initiatives. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in technology and data practices, processes, and technologies. Recruit and retain high-integrity, high-performance and partnership-focused technology, and data professionals. Create a motivating work environment by providing regular performance feedback, development oversight, and mentorship to team members. Establish yourself as a technology leader by providing strategic guidance and technical recommendations to address business challenges and enhance existing business processes. Work closely with stakeholders to pragmatically manage business priorities while ensuring that technology and security-related upgrades are addressed. Develop a deep understanding of the business to make informed tradeoff decisions and articulate effort estimates and the impact of various options, with a particular focus on data which is at the heart of the Investment Research process. Foster strong relationships with software and resource vendors to ensure their products and resources are leveraged to their fullest potential. Negotiate appropriate contracts to secure high-value agreements, ensuring the organization receives optimal benefits and cost-efficiency. Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science). 10+ years of relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to inclusively lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team of professionals. Extensive experience in technology and data management positions, with a proven track record of leadership in driving technology and data initiatives. Proven track record in managing technology and data projects and programs, from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in building and managing strategic partnerships with technology vendors, service providers, and industry organizations. Experience managing a complex data environment.
