Logistics Coordinator

Job Description :

Indorama Ventures- Indovinya is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Clear Lake, TX site. The primary purpose of this role is to work with the logistics team to effectively meet productivity and quality metrics while ensuring a seamless order-to-deliver process resulting in excellent customer services.

What will be expected of you?

• Coordinate all load, shipment, and traffic processes with 3rd Party partners to ensure safe on time delivery to customer.

• To ensure product availability day prior to shipment scheduled with coordination with supply chain and reconcile variances between order quantity and shipment quantity.

• Ensure adherence to defined operational escalation process to leads, regional experts and plant personnel when encountering unforeseen delays in shipping from plant and ultimate delivery to customer. Manage exceptions and emergency situations.

• Execute SAP postings in a timely manner aligned with revenue recognition rules and ensure timely discrepancy resolution.

• Execute SAP quality notification transactions for all process failures to align with quality assurance expectations.

• Manage exceptions and emergency situations.

• Track desk metrics defined for on time shipping and on time delivery and provide a root cause analysis and corrective action plan for those falling outside of the allowable tolerances.

• Confirm railcars on site per 3rd party yard check and verify shipments switched out by UP as scheduled”.

• Spot next day railcars according to shipping schedule.

• Manage bad ordered railcar process – Coordinate repairs with UTLX, review invoices and send for manager approval prior to AP.

• Enter PRs for loading equipment needed by B&R loading group.

• Schedule trucks for P/U at Clear Lake.

• Enter OTMAs for railcar movements out of Clear Lake.

• Assist with resolution of freight invoice discrepancies.

• Backup to logistics group on PGI’s out of other locations.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Supply Chain required.

• 5 years of production, Planning, or Supply Chain required.

• Experience with SAP S4 Hanna experience with the Production/Transportation module and MRP preferred.

• Must have or be able to obtain TWIC card.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

• Customer Service Attitude and Strong Interpersonal Skills.

• Results Oriented with proven record of Process Improvement.

• Team Player.

• Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• SAP Experience (SD, MM modules) a plus (preferred).

• Knowledgeable in Six Sigma and LEAN (preferred).

• Experience/compliance knowledge for handling hazardous chemical materials (preferred).
