The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) department is currently recruiting for an Student IT Assistant to join their team of professionals. This professional will serve the university community with technology - related issues. We offer this service by way of a walk-up service in both the MMC and BBC main libraries and in the call center. The representative will be responsible for, but not limited to: Interacting directly with student/faculty/staff/alumni/vendors Troubleshooting technical problems Disseminating information Logging these interactions within the Service Management Systems (ServiceNow) Minimum Qualifications
Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days. Ability to provide superior customer service. Ability to troubleshoot basic wireless network issues on various operating systems. Ability to troubleshoot basic Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to work in a team setting. Ability to take direction and work independently as needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information. Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters. During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated. Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.

8:00AM to 12:00AM 20 hours a week, hours will vary May work nights and weekends when required. Advertised Salary
