As an Imports Coordinator, you'll play an essential role in ensuring smooth shipment execution, maintaining high-quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You'll be the linchpin between clients, vendors, and internal teams, coordinating efforts to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate Shipments: Work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to arrange and track shipments from start to finish.
Documentation Master: Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate, complete, and in line with company procedures.
Keep Everyone in the Loop: Monitor schedules, provide regular updates, and ensure all parties are informed of any changes.
Manage Costs: Communicate any additional charges to customers, secure confirmations, and keep everything running smoothly.
Customs Clearance: Dispatch freight after Customs clearance and monitor claims to ensure timely resolution.
Invoicing Accuracy: Ensure operationally closed job files are promptly passed for invoicing and remain error-free.
Enhance Efficiency: Alert the Head of Department about any cargo claims and work with the team to continually improve processes.
Handle Ad-Hoc Tasks: Be ready to support with additional tasks as needed to keep things running like clockwork!
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2-3 years in logistics or a similar role, with exposure to global trade or customs processes.
Skills: Knowledge of local customs and port clearance regulations. Excellent communication skills in English. Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), with a knack for quickly learning new software.
Attention to Detail: Passionate about logistics and providing top-notch service in a fast-paced setting.
