Lead Systems Architect

The primary purpose of this position is to provide senior level systems architecture and team leadership for University client computing systems. This position plays a key role in developing the strategic direction for the Systems Center platform, Active Directory and related systems to support enterprise-class services. The position leads a team of Engineers with an in-depth understanding of managed desktop services through Systems Center Configuration Manager and other device management technologies

Required Skills & Experience

Masters Degree; Bachelors and 8+ years of experience Requires extensive knowledge of Application Administration including installation, upgrading, patching, OS monitoring, MS SQL database management. Requires strong skills in computer networking protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP), Windows Client and Server operating system administration, SSL. Requires training and experience for installation, configuration and administration of servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server for advanced server management and security administration. Requires training and experience for Cisco UCS and other server hardware. Requires extensive knowledge of computer systems architecture, computer operating systems, Storage Area Networks, computer network architecture and design, computer networking protocols (TCP/IP), systems design and analysis, project management. Requires strong skills in operating system administration and Internals, cluster file system technology, server virtualization, backup administration, operating system support for MS Office product suite, general knowledge of database connectivity, hardware interfacing, programming/scripting skills in in a relative language (e.g. powershell), application installation and administration. Requires extensive knowledge of public, private and hybrid cloud IaaS.

Environment breakdown: 9500 endpoints, 3500 Staff, 19000 Students 70% Windows and 30% Mac MS365 (all functionalities) Background (SCCM/JAMF) ISO27002 Familiarity with Intune will be helpful
