TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Edmond, Oklahoma, 73034 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg Job Specialty: EMC Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hours Days, 36 hours per week Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: - Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures - Good verbal and written communication skills - Some computer skills Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a hospital setting for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. - Assist in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver competent patient care and interact with family and patient in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and upon discharge. - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff and maintain good working relationships with other employees. - Perform other duties as assigned. 26418059EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing A diverse portfolio of experiences adds depth to your professional profile.
