TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Edmond, Oklahoma, 73034 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Job Specialty: EMC Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures - Good verbal and written communication skills - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors - Some computer skills Job Description: - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary - Administer medication as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products - Deliver patient care competently - Interact with family and patients in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and upon discharge - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel - Delegate tasks to support staff - Perform other duties as assigned 26399770EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Adapting to new facilities and teams challenges your problem-solving skills.
