TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Edmond, Oklahoma, 73034 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days, 3x12 Hour Shifts Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Experience: 1 Year of Experience Required License: Current RN License (Multistate Compact RN License Accepted) Certifications: - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS, American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Job Description: - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer prescribed medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently. - Interact with patients and families, sharing the care plan during hospital stay and at discharge. - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures. - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned.
