A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Strategic University Events, the Coordinator will provide a high level of support to the team in the planning and execution of superior events, programs and ceremonies. Areas of focus include but are not limited to all aspects of event communication, attendee tracking, and the planning and execution of less complex events. Responsibilities include maintaining all departmental event email accounts, managing attendee lists in the Event Management database, update event spreadsheets, provide administrative support to the events team, create and print materials including but not limited to nametags, signage, registration information, etc. This position will staff and work events and interact with leadership and high-level donors and constituents. The coordinator will serve as a resource to university colleagues and the offices of the president and provost to support, coordinate and enhance operational procedures and engagement efforts. In addition, they will serve as a key contact for external correspondences as related to university events. Other duties will be performed as assigned.
Required Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree * A minimum of two years of experience in alumni relations, special events, social media, and/or higher education. * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Proficient in MS Office suite and fundraising databases; familiarity with social media platforms and online communications. * Demonstrated ability to direct outside business partners and service providers/vendors. * Excellent organization skills and the ability to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously. * Must be results-oriented, facts-driven, with excellent listening skills.
