Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Pediatrics. The role requires delivering nursing care in a hospital setting, catering to a range of patients from those with simple health problems to more complex conditions. Key responsibilities include assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, assisting physicians, monitoring patient physiological data, administering prescribed medications, and more. The successful candidate will also interact with the patient's family to share care plans, inform them of hospital procedures, make referrals, delegate tasks to support staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
The role involves floating to various acute care units, including Pediatric Medical, Surgical, Medical Specialty, and occasionally Pediatric Hem/Onc units. Required skills include knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, organizational skills, and good communication abilities. An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Current certifications in Basic Life Support and PALS from the American Heart Association are essential. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary.
