Must-Have: CV step down experience, familiarity with professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
Description: The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of pediatric patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex. The nurse is responsible for a designated group of patients, documenting their responses to interventions and treatments, assisting physicians during examinations and minor procedures, and monitoring patients' physiological data. The nurse will also administer medications, maintain and monitor IV infusions and blood products, interact with patients and families regarding care plans, and provide discharge information. Additional duties include making referrals, delegating tasks to support staff, and potentially floating to various acute pediatric care units, including Medical, Surgical, and Specialty units. Good communication skills, organizational ability, and computer proficiency are required. An Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required, while a Bachelor's is preferred.
