Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Profession: Registered Nurse (RN)

Experience: 2 Years Required
License: Current RN License
Certifications: Basic Life Support, ACLS (within 12 months of hire), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (within 12 months of hire), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advance Provider or Instructor (within 3 months of hire)
Must-Have: Ability to independently circulate surgeries, PACU skills, Magnesium therapy, Insulin drips, Independent in newborn care (initial resuscitation, routine care)
Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery with a strong focus on patient care and a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will provide nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions from simple to complex.
Responsibilities include: - Managing a designated group of patients. - Documenting patient responses and reviewing physician orders. - Assisting physicians in examinations and minor procedures. - Monitoring and obtaining physiological data, and intervening when necessary. - Administering prescribed medications and managing IV infusions and blood products. - Delivering competent patient care. - Engaging with patients and families to share care plans and hospital procedures. - Making patient care referrals to appropriate personnel. - Delegating tasks to support staff.
Skills: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures. - Strong organizational and planning abilities. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Cultural and linguistic competency with patients and visitors. - Basic computer skills.
Education: - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
