Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Current RN License (multistate compact RN License accepted) Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association), ACLS (within 12 months), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (within 12 months), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or Instructor (within 3 months) Must-Have: Ability to independently circulate surgeries, PACU skills, Magnesium therapy, Insulin drips, Independent in newborn care (initial resuscitation, routine care)
Description: We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to interventions, assisting physicians with examinations and treatments, and monitoring physiological data. You will also administer medications, regulate and monitor IV infusions and blood products, and interact with patients and families to share care plans and hospital procedures. You are expected to delegate tasks to support staff and perform other duties as needed.
Skills Required: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures - Strong organizational and planning skills - Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors - Basic computer skills
Education: - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required - Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
