A prominent law firm in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced associate attorney with a focus on real estate and environmental regulatory matters. This role involves working on complex real estate transactions, land use issues, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional law and environmental regulations, with the ability to handle diverse client matters effectively. Duties:

Draft, review, and negotiate real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and contracts. Manage real estate closings and development projects, including brownfield redevelopment. Provide counsel on environmental compliance, permitting, and enforcement actions. Handle land use matters, including zoning hearings and other regulatory proceedings. Advise on transactions involving contaminated sites and manage due diligence processes. Collaborate with clients to achieve project goals and maintain ongoing business relationships. Represent clients in hearings and zoning meetings across Virginia. Requirements:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in real estate transactions and environmental regulations. Proven ability to handle "dirt law" transactions with precision and efficiency. Strong written and oral communication skills. Diligence, attention to detail, and an ability to work independently. Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications:

Active membership in the Virginia State Bar. Skills:

Expertise in real estate law, including development and transactional matters. Knowledge of environmental compliance, permitting, and enforcement.
