A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Nevada team. This role involves managing a variety of civil litigation cases, focusing on insurance defense, bodily injury claims, and employment matters. The ideal candidate will possess extensive litigation experience and the ability to independently oversee cases from initiation through trial.
Duties
Handle a broad range of civil litigation matters, including bodily injury defense, employment disputes, and general insurance defense cases. Oversee the litigation process, including case strategy, client updates, and trial preparation. Conduct depositions, oral arguments, and hearings as needed. Negotiate settlements and advise clients on potential outcomes. Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. Collaborate with the legal team to develop innovative approaches to resolving cases. Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense or related legal fields. Demonstrated ability to manage cases through trial, including hearings and depositions. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active license to practice law in Nevada (required). Additional licensure in other states is an asset. Skills
Expertise in civil litigation and insurance defense. Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw. Strong negotiation and case management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to remote work technologies and processes.
