And our client, an excellent law firm, is seeking a talented Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles, California!
Responsibilities:
Maintain computer systems and servers
Configure and maintain virtual machines
Design and maintain computer policies and configurations
Manage user accounts and security permissions
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and implement new solutions
Manage security software and backups
Manage Helpdesk ticketing system and IT inventory
Manage cellular phone accounts and mobile devices
Manage virtual machine environment
Administer and manage Microsoft Office 365 services
Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls
Work with and optimize security solutions to reduce system vulnerabilities and enhance data recovery capabilities
Manage software updates across the network
Monitor network infrastructure, servers, and services to identify and resolve issues proactively
Enhance network security by implementing security measures and conducting regular audits to identify and mitigate potential threats
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
5+ years of experience in systems administration or high-level desktop support
Experience in cloud computing, networking, and working with vendors
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure
Experience with virtual machines such as Azure Virtual Desktop, VMWare, or Hyper-V
Experience with mobile device management (MDM) tools such as InTune, JAMF, or AirWatch
Experience in working with and optimizing security solutions such as CrowdStrike and BeyondTrust
Experience with managing software updates using tools like PDQ Deploy, SCCM, or InTune
Ability to monitor and manage network infrastructure with tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Sentinel, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), or Prometheus
Understanding of network security measures, including advanced firewalls and intrusion detection systems, and conducting regular security audits
Familiarity with data recovery processes and tools, particularly Veeam
Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams
