About the role:
The Senior Finance Manager will play a key role in the global finance innovation initiative (Finance Forward) focused on Finance Planning & Analysis capabilities and global process harmonization. The individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the business (divisions, regions, global supply chain, tax, human resources, etc.) to align and document planning and reporting processes. Process areas of focus will include revenue, COGS, SG&A, R&D, headcount planning, etc. Partner with IT teams to translate the future state planning and reporting processes to detailed requirements for new technology solutions such as Oracle EPM cloud and Project & Portfolio Management tools. This workstream should yield greater organizational agility, process efficiency and better use of leveraging technology (automation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc.) in our FP&A processes, which in some cases may require standing up new capabilities.
This role will report to the Global HQ FinOps Associate Director Lead. This position has a high degree of collaboration amongst the Finance Forward and FinOps teams, as well as interaction with corporate, divisional, and regional finance groups across the organization. The culture of the team is to work as a group and be flexible and willing to jump into the broader team responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overall responsibility for initiative workstream progress and delivery Define and delegate activities to initiative support resources Collaboration with project manager to maintain weekly status report/project plan Present on initiative progress, risks, issues, etc. during weekly status meetings Escalation of risks and issues to project manager and SteerCo (as needed) Partner with Talent / Learning & Development leads on emerging skillset needs or training requirements Coordinate with Change Management and Communications resources to create strategies for adoption and monitoring Serve as change agent to promote Finance Forward by motivating teams in the development and adoption of global best practices
Required Qualifications:
10+ years in financial analysis, planning and business support Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.) Demonstrated end-to-end process thinking with ability to drive global process harmonization; ability to manage interdependencies Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive process improvements and support change management principles Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide organization and be able to simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes Comfort with ambiguity; skilled at problem-solving to meet internal customers' needs; proven ability to work through roadblocks; demonstrated critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven Self-starter and quick learner, willing to delve deeply into project details Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to develop and maintain relationships on all levels within a global organization; ability to communicate how and why decisions were made to various stakeholder groups Strong Excel skills required. Familiarity with Hyperion Planning and SAP a plus. Ability to travel up to 10%
