Position Overview:

As the CFO, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong financial acumen, advanced technical skills, and an understanding of the distribution industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership

: Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team, ensuring that financial goals and objectives align with the company's growth strategy. Financial Reporting

: Supervise and manage the preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring that all reports accurately reflect the organization's financial performance and position. Ensure strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Cash Flow Management

: Ensure effective cash flow management and liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic growth goals. Monitor cash inflows and outflows, and develop detailed cash flow forecasts. Oversee the factoring of A/R. Cost Control & Profitability

: Conduct a detailed analysis of profit margins for each customer and product line, while also evaluating associated expenses to understand their impact on overall profitability. Technology Integration

: Enhance the financial systems and processes, with a strong focus on maximizing the advanced capabilities of NetSuite and direct the usage of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology. Spearhead efforts to automate workflows, streamline financial operations, and enhance reporting efficiency. Operational Efficiency :

Collaborate with key operational departments, including production, distribution, and supply chain, to identify and drive cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. Risk Management

: Oversee risk management strategies including insurance, hedging, and internal controls to minimize financial risk. Budgeting & Forecasting

: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide accurate financial forecasts, highlighting key risks and opportunities. Mergers & Acquisitions

: Provide financial due diligence and strategic support for mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships that support business growth. Tax Planning & Compliance

: Manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting requirements to optimize the company's tax position. CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Qualifications:

Experience : Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience in a consumer products distribution environment. Leadership : Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing financial teams, overseeing complex financial operations, and driving strategic initiatives. Must be a strong leader with a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to inspire confidence and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Big Box - A/R Management:

Manage dilutions within the accounts receivable process including Cash Discounts, Trade Discounts, Co-op Advertising, Freight, Defectives and Growth Incentives. NetSuite Expertise : Advanced proficiency in NetSuite ERP system including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and customization. Educational Background : A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A CPA or MBA is preferred. Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial data to drive decision-making and strategic initiatives.
