Location: New York City, NY, United States Posted on: Jan 26, 2022 Profile Aon is looking for a Broker – Professional Services Practice. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Professional Services Practice (PSP), based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL. As a Broker (Vice President & Director), you will report directly to the Chief Broking Officer of PSP. PSP is Aon’s dedicated specialty practice providing brokerage and advisory services, claims advocacy, and loss prevention to law, accounting, consulting, and design firms. PSP places professional liability, employment practices liability, management liability, cyber liability, and general property & casualty insurance for its professional services firm clients. This team is comprised of over 200 colleagues worldwide. Your impact as a Broker Job Responsibilities: Utilize effective underwriter relationships to improve broking results via a deep understanding of marketplace, insurer appetite, and capabilities to leverage insurers effectively. Serve as a source for information concerning market trends including pricing and underwriting issues as they emerge in the marketplace. Work closely with Account Executives and other client service team members to understand and deliver on client needs. Participate in the development and implementation of department policies, procedures, and best practices. Assess client needs, design solutions, and negotiate with existing insurers and potential new insurers in the markets we trade in. Effectively manage and utilize data to assist in providing our client service teams with accurate market pricing intelligence; in our negotiations with existing insurers; and in the development of new market entrants. Undertake various duties as assigned. You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree. 10 plus years in brokering, underwriting, and/or other relevant professional or executive liability industry experience. Property & Casualty license required within 6 months of hire date. Qualifications: Ability to build relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to solve problems and think independently. Proven analytical ability. Work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail. Strong experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). We offer you:
