We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Senior Director of Business Development
to lead growth initiatives in our denim apparel division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the denim industry, particularly with department stores, and possess an established network of industry contacts and customers. This role requires a strategic thinker and a results-driven leader who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive revenue growth. Responsibilities : Business Development and Growth Develop and implement innovative business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth in the denim division. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the denim sector. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, and production, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Account Management and Relationship Building Manage key accounts, with a focus on department stores and other major retail partners. Leverage your industry expertise and established network to cultivate strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, providing insights and recommendations to maximize sales potential. Market Analysis and Competitor Research Stay informed about denim industry trends, consumer preferences, and the competitive landscape. Analyze market data and customer feedback to develop tailored sales strategies. Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation. Team Leadership and Development Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve their goals and full potential. Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture focused on innovation and excellence. Requirements : Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the denim apparel industry, with a focus on department stores, off-price, full-price, or big-box retailers. Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of denim pricing structures, market dynamics, and emerging consumer trends. Established network of industry contacts and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain key relationships. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Results-oriented mindset with a proactive, strategic approach to business development. Proficiency in analyzing market data to develop actionable insights.
