Be part of a busy bankruptcy practice that is a mix of litigation and transactional work Take depositions and argue motions and contested matters in the courtroom Receive training opportunities with growing levels of responsibility Collaborate across practice groups and offices Work in a small office atmosphere with the resources of an Am Law 200 firm Have opportunities for advancement in a collegial environment Engage in business development activities with the potential to grow into partnership Be allowed to work remotely two days per week Duties:
Litigate bankruptcy, restructuring, and/or creditors’ rights and insolvency-related matters in state and federal courts Have significant experience in motions practice, contested matters, and/or adversary proceedings Respond and pivot well in court and under pressure Take or materially assist in the preparation of many depositions Conduct research and writing tasks Excel in a team environment Engage in relationship-building activities internally and externally Work with attorneys, staff, and clients from diverse backgrounds Be highly motivated and a self-starter Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills Requirements:
3-6 years of experience in bankruptcy litigation Strong working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, local rules, UCC, and secured transactions Excellent law school credentials and references Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Skills:
Fast thinking and adaptable Strong research and writing skills Ability to excel in a team environment Interest in business development activities Flexibility and adaptability Benefits offered:
