Job Description - Postdoctoral Associate - Senior Postdoctoral Associate (2403671) Postdoctoral Associate - Senior Postdoctoral Associate Postdoctoral Associate Required Qualifications: PhD or MD or foreign equivalent in hand by date of hire. Molecular and cell biology skills on mammalian cells or mouse models.

The incumbent

must have demonstrated experience in skin or epithelial biology, developmental biological, extracellular matrix biology, signal transduction, or protein-protein interaction. Computer skills in data and statistical analyses are required. A proven record of productivity as demonstrated by recent first author publications in leading peer-reviewed journals is expected. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in a broad spectrum of common molecular and cell biology or biochemistry skills, including qRT-PCR, western blotting, immunofluorescence, and fluorescent microscopy. Experience in studying skin, hair follicle, skin cancer, or epithelial-mesenchymal interaction, and genetically engineered mouse models is a plus. The ideal candidate should be an excellent team player, capable of working independently on multiple projects, and a clear academic career plan. The incumbent is expected to be dedicated, self-motivated, and goal-driven. Research projects are aimed at examining the molecular functions of genes involved in the hedgehog signaling pathway, the extracellular matrix, and cellular differentiation in the context of skin and hair follicle development, aging, and skin cancers. Both in vitro and genetically engineered mouse models will be utilized. • Conducting molecular and cell biology research experiments. • Manuscripts writing and grant/fellowship application. • Supervising undergraduate students and graduate students. • Presentation at local, national, or international meetings. • Other duties as assigned.
