We are searching for a highly analytical applicant who is capable of working full time and possesses strong negotiation and organizational abilities to join our growing firm as an estate planning attorney. You will create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for our clients and their families and educate them on matters of insurance and powers of attorney. To guarantee that an estate is managed in accordance with the estate owner's intentions, this role demands a high degree of responsibility. Responsibilities:
Confer with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action Consult clients about your plans for distributing their assets Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed Keep client files properly organized and up to date Collaborate with managing attorney and paralegals to effectively move files through the estate planning process Create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for the firm's clients Qualifications:
Must have worked on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations Must be licensed to practice in NY Compensation:
$98,500 - $110,000 per year
