A law firm seeks a skilled Environmental and Land Use Associate Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in environmental and land use law and strong capabilities in legal research, drafting, and client counseling. Job Duties: Conduct legal research and analysis on environmental and land use regulations. Draft legal memoranda, briefs, motions, and other pleadings. Assist in preparing for hearings, trials, and other litigation proceedings. Counsel clients on federal, state, and local environmental laws compliance. Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients. Provide support to senior attorneys on complex environmental litigation matters. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the California State Bar in good standing. 2-5 years of relevant experience in environmental and land use law. Experience with drafting briefs, motions, and legal memoranda. Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Prior judicial clerkship experience in environmental or related fields. Familiarity with CEQA, NEPA, and other environmental statutes and regulations. Experience advising clients on land use planning and zoning issues. Skills: Legal research and writing.
