The Staff Manager will:

Manage behavioral health programs and services within the public behavioral health system of care to promote quality, enhance provider relationships, and increase access to services to consumers throughout the state; Provide leadership in the development of operational procedures; Provide budget and financial reporting; Oversee special populations Program Coordinator and additional program coordinator staff, support their professional development and manage a limited number of programs. How does it get done?

The Staff Manager is responsible for:

Managing the Behavioral Health Investment Zone Project; Providing supervision of special populations Program Coordinator and additional behavioral health Program Coordinators; Providing participative leadership by interacting effectively and maintaining positive relationships with peers, employees, and customers; Providing daily supervision and oversight for program coordinators to support their development and ensure that their programs are executed accordingly; Collaborate with multiple divisions within the Health Care Authority to include DHI, MAD, as well as the Children, Youth, and Families Department. The Health Care Authority (HCA); Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) Staff; Provider Agencies; Cities and Counties within New Mexico; The citizens of New Mexico; The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has:

Project Management experience to include agendas, task lists, and spreadsheets; A high degree of customer service to include technical assistance and problem solving/resolution; Experience in providing supervision; Specific behavioral health services experience; Contract, budget, and financial experience.

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional level experience operating within parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below. A hiring agency will designate that a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

1 year of experience •Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.

•If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
