Job Description
Robert Half is partnering with one of their higher education clients on their recruitment efforts to find a full-time, direct hire, accounting analyst/clerk.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Performs cashiering activities such as receiving and recording of payment transactions, making change, issuing receipts, and balancing cash drawer.
2. Responsible for completion of the daily cash reports and log sheets.
3. Processes departmental deposits.
4. Assists departments with Petty Cash transactions.
5. Processes rental payments for faculty and staff leases related to College owned property.
6. Processes other business payments as needed.
7. Prepare and process journal entries.
8. Scans and links appropriate supporting documentation to journal entries.
9. Assists faculty and staff with cash advances.
10. Backup for processing of Employee Reimbursements via the Concur System.
11. Walk students through steps needed to complete financial aid.
12. Walk students through setting up a payment plan in TransAct.
13. Walk students through changes in their selected room and board.
14. Process transcript requests.
15. Assist students with questions regarding their student accounts, to include financial aid, registration, admissions, advising, etc.
16. Answer and/or route general office email/phone calls appropriately.
17. Provide thorough and exemplary customer service to all students, faculty, and staff.
18. Assists business office staff with completing reconciliations and reporting as needed.

Associate’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or other related field. (Specific Related Experience could be considered at a 2:1 rate of Experience vs Years of Education).
One or more years experience in an accounting, business, higher education, or customer service role.
