Summary/Objective:
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for leading the staffing efforts of the Company and building a strong workforce that adds to the Company's bottom line. The Recruiting Specialist will work with department managers both corporate and storewide to find the best employees for the organization. Evaluates candidates, assessing their resumes and credentials, conducts interviews, and builds a network of potential employees.

Evaluates candidates, assessing their resumes and credentials, conducts interviews, and builds a network of potential employees.

- Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
- Screening resumes
- Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications.
- Attracting suitable candidates through recruiting agencies, online employment forums, social media, etc.
- Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
- Use social media to post job vacancies and identify suitable applicants.
- Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates
- Administering appropriate company assessments
- Performing reference and background checks
- Making recommendations to company hiring managers
- Coordinating interviews with the hiring managers
- Following up on the interview process status
- Communicating employer information and benefits during screening process
- Staying current on the company's organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
- Completing timely reports on employment activity
- Completes onboarding paperwork for new hires.
- Conducting exit interviews on terminating employees
- PERFORMS ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, or another related field is desired.
- 5 years of experience as a recruiting specialist
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good decision-making skills.
- The ability to work within a team and to coordinate team activities.
- Excellent analytical skills to examine resumes and find the best-suited candidates.
- Clear verbal skills to communicate well with candidates and managers.
- The ability to conduct different types of interviews.
- Proficient writing skills to produce reports on hiring analyses.
- Leadership abilities to delegate tasks and train new employees.
- Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment.
- In-depth knowledge of hiring strategies, labor laws, and employment equity.
- The ability to evaluate recruiting software packages and to recommend those which are best suited to the company.
- Travel on an occasional basis for hiring events is a MUST.
- Works a 50-hour week minimum and has the availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business dictates.
- Satisfactory work and attendance & punctuality record
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and team mentality
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and practices, including established safety practices.
- No or very limited physical effort required.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
