Summary: You will serve as a CHIEF OF STAFF in the ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE NAVY (E&IE) of the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY.
Responsibilities:
- Advise staff on DON alignment and opportunities with national level and DoD-wide strategic guidance documents including the National Security Strategy, National Military Strategy, and National Defense Strategy.
- Ensure all plans, programs, and deliverables are coordinated within leadership and chain of command to achieve consistency and optimal resource utilization.
- Periodically review organizational structure to ensure positions promote an optimum balance between economy, efficiency, and skill utilization.
- Identify and direct necessary corrective actions for programs and ensure that successes and lessons learned are recognized and shared with the Enterprise.
- Coordinate the accomplishment of major projects and be responsible for policies, plans, and analysis that shape the Enterprise comprising personnel worldwide.
- Develop performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
- Interview candidates and recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to positions.
Requirements:
Conditions of Employment:
- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience preparing and presenting briefings and presentations to high-level personnel.
- Experience providing advice and recommendations; analyzing complex issues to develop organizational objectives and short/long range program goals.
- Experience interpreting policy and procedures to resolve problems and ensure compliance in personnel, budget, and facility requirements that may impact the organization.
