Job Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an HR Recruiter in the Non-Profit sector located in Stockton, California, United States. As an HR Recruiter, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to human resource management and recruitment, including understanding and administering bargaining unit contracts, maintaining confidentiality, and preparing various types of correspondence and documentation. Skilled in NeoGov is a strong preference.
Responsibilities
• Conduct high volume recruitment processes while maintaining a commitment to efficiency and accuracy
• Apply in-depth knowledge of human resource management principles and practices
• Administer and interpret bargaining unit contracts as part of the recruitment process
• Handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly, ensuring the privacy and security of all personnel records
• Prepare and manage various types of correspondence, documentation, and reports related to recruitment
• Utilize a range of recruiting initiatives, including campus recruiting, to attract a diverse pool of candidates
• Understand and adhere to all pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations relating to recruitment and hiring
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to explain District hiring policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals encountered during the course of work
• Be mindful and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, linguistic, ethnic backgrounds, and disabilities of community college students and staff.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
• Experience in high volume recruitment, with the ability to manage multiple hiring needs concurrently.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing successful recruitment initiatives.
• Experience with campus recruitment, including organizing job fairs and building relationships with universities.
• Familiarity with non-profit sector and understanding of its unique challenges and requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using HR software and databases.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• Detail-oriented certification in HR (such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP) is a plus.
