About the role: The Group Marketing Manager, Capital Strategy will lead a team in the collaborative development and execution of capital upstream and downstream strategies across Boston Scientific's Endoscopy portfolio, both in the U.S. and globally. This role is crucial in expanding our presence within this strategically important segment of the business. Additionally, the role will focus on creating scalable business models for both new and established capital products. Success in this role is driven by close collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute marketing strategies for service products, providing guidance and coaching based on best practices while fostering a culture of innovation. Attract, develop, and lead direct reports, fostering a diverse and inclusive team culture that embodies Boston Scientific's core values. Oversee a team of capital specialists developing go to market strategies as well as next generation offerings to keep us competitive in the marketplace. Build and leverage internal and external relationships, incorporating both business and customer feedback to meet goals. Clearly communicate opportunities and business needs to secure investment and negotiate necessary resources. Work closely with matrixed teams, including Product Marketing, Sales, R&D, Sales Operations, and Corporate Service, to drive strategy development, facilitate decision-making, and eliminate organizational barriers. Lead change initiatives to integrate new competencies within the division, ensuring smooth transitions and successful adoption of new processes, programs, and tools. Partner with stakeholders as the business evolves into software solutions, interconnected capital equipment, and remote connectivity models. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Own revenue forecasts, assumptions, and projections for capital service initiatives. Maintain a strong focus on global alignment, conducting regular gap assessments to identify and ensure commercial synergies across regions.
Required qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in capital strategy, product management, marketing, or consulting. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing cross-functional teams, coupled with the successful execution of business strategies within a matrix organization. At least three (3) years of experience directly related to the medical device industry. Experience in BioMed hospital environments. Willingness and ability to travel up to thirty percent (30%) of the time.
Preferred qualifications:
An advanced degree such as a Master's or MBA. Specific expertise in the urology industry, particularly in capital equipment and service marketing. Exceptional communication skills combined with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. A demonstrated ability to make well-informed decisions in a fast-paced and complex environment. Comprehensive knowledge in business strategy, marketing, or technical aspects related to capital equipment and/or services. Proven experience in leading diverse and high-performing teams, including those that are geographically dispersed. Strong analytical capabilities to identify and interpret market trends and customer needs. An ability to formulate and implement scalable business strategies that drive revenue and support the adoption of new technologies and services.
