JOB SUMMARY:
Schedules processes, fits, assembles, and finishes metal parts to make and repair stamping dies by performing the following duties.

TARGET START DATE: January 2025

SHIFT: 1st

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday

HOURS: 6am-4pm

PAY: $25-35 per hour

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Direct Hire / Full-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Studies blueprints of product, die and die models, templates, prototype parts, visualizes shape, mechanical structure, and operation of die.
• Computes dimensions, plans machining, layout, and assembly operations.
• Develops and coordinates build schedule to meet established timelines.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, radial drill press, shaper, grinder, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
• Verifies dimensions, clearances, and alignment of members and parts in die.
• Fits and assembles mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components into tooling as required.
• Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining by other workers.

REQUIREMENTS:
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; and/or three to six years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints. Must demonstrate knowledge of production machining processes and operations.
• Previous tooling experience and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tool and die problem situations preferred.
