Job Description
In ALBANY, NY (*Hybrid* OR *Remote* Position): Our client - major State Government agency responsible for programs that provide assistance and support for social services such SNAP benefits, cash assistance, child support enforcement program, housing programs, Social Security Disability benefits and more - is seeking a team of Paralegals to assist with processing timely administrative hearing requests.
Role will primarily involve drafting decisions after fair hearings based on written guidance from the presiding Administrative Law Judge, evidence, audio recordings, and standardized, proprietary decision drafting software and more.
Responsibilities include:
• Handle and organize legal materials efficiently
• Review and analyze legal documents and agreements
• Maintain the utmost confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information
• Ensure the security of legal documents and materials
• Uphold the agreement terms and ensure adherence to the same
• Maintain regular communication with the team and provide updates on progress.
Additional Information:
Hours: Mon. - Fri. 9:00 - 5:00 EST; 7.5 hours each day, with 30 minutes lunch
Duration: 12+ months (potentially up to 2 years)

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint• Experience with handling invoices and understanding pricing logistics
• Excellent communication skills, both in handling inbound and outbound calls, and in written correspondence
• Knowledge of law and regulations applicable to the role
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with preparing and managing legal documentation
• Strong coordination skills to manage various tasks simultaneously
• Comfortable using phone systems in a detail oriented manner
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Proficiency in language interpretation, particularly in legal contexts
• Familiarity with Cisco technologies
• Understanding of organizational structures within a legal setting
• Experience with handling certified mail and operating postage meters
• Ability to handle legal affairs with a high degree of quality and detail orientation
• Proficiency in photocopying and scanning documents for legal purposes.
