Viwinco has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team!
Summary
The role will be responsible for providing engineering support for the manufacturing processes that may involve process improvements and/ or implementation of new policies in safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and equipment installations. This position reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Supports the manufacturing launch of new/ revised products, to include documenting procedures, assisting with training needs, and purchasing new tooling or equipment
- Assists with the design of machinery layout and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
- Performs time studies of various manufacturing processes and documents that data, analysis, and findings
- Participates in safety, quality and process improvement projects and initiatives that further the organization’s capabilities in meeting its vision
- Maintains necessary documentation for process improvement activity
- Creates standard work instructions and generally documents processes and procedures to capture current condition
- Participates in Kaizen events and other process improvement initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency, safety outcomes, and reducing waste
- Collaborates cross functionally to support the overall operations team
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any other relevant field of study
- Excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Spanish is preferred, but not required
- Manufacturing industry or related industry experience preferred

We specialize in custom-made vinyl windows, patio doors and associated products for new construction and replacement applications in both residential and commercial markets. Controlling the Source | Almost all Viwinco products are produced entirely at our manufacturing facility in Morgantown, Pennsylvania.Over the years, we’ve brought a number of processes — such as tempering, laminating, and product development — in-house, allowing us to control the source. Controlling the source has enhanced our ability to oversee the quality of every product we produce, to ensure the products you receive exceed Viwinco standards.
Since we control the source, we control the quality of every window and door that leaves our facility. Viwinco operates dedicated tempering and laminating departments in-house, using some of the industry’s most technologically advanced equipment.
