Job Description

Army Navy Country Club, a prestigious private member-owned Platinum Country Club with two locations in Northern Virginia. Army Navy Country Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our Arlington facility. This is a Seasonal position, excellent opportunity to develop your skills, learn from experienced HR professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization. The internship offers exposure to HR best practices to give you a comprehensive understanding of HR processes, policies and procedures.

Learning Outcomes

  • Assist with the onboarding, off boarding process and status change process for employees
  • Contribute to employee engagement and retention initiatives, such as planning and the Summer Employee Party and 5-Star Employee Recognition Celebration
  • Utilize Canva to design the monthly Employee newsletter and distribute employee flyers
  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees
  • Perform administrative tasks using ADP Workforce Now
  • Manage the HR email to assist with employee support
  • Help facilitate the planning and execution of the monthly Women's Collective for our female employees
  • Attend F&B Pre-Shift meetings to inform employees about events and updates from an HR perspective
  • Collect manager signatures from various departments
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Standards
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • The capacity to identify issues, research solutions, and implement problem-solving strategies
  • Effective time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work during varied hours of the day as well as weekends and holidays


This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment)
