Overview
Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) is seeking a Spring Intern to support the Human Resource department initiatives, activities and priorities. The Intern will assist broadly within the department in which they're hired and work closely with multiple teams.
This is a paid position. This internship will start in January and the intern will work 37.5 hours per week for a 3-month term.

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) is seeking a Spring Intern to support the Human Resource department initiatives, activities and priorities. The Intern will assist broadly within the department in which they're hired and work closely with multiple teams.
This is a paid position. This internship will start in January and the intern will work 37.5 hours per week for a 3-month term.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Support the maintenance of digital and electronic records of employees in ADP.
- Support the coordination of new employee onboarding, including preparation of orientation materials.
- Help perform administrative tasks using ADP Workforce Now (updating profiles, address changes, personal information changes, etc.)
- Learn and improve ADP workforce now automatic reporting function, data analysis/accuracy, and informational audits.
- Assist with the evaluation of current HR processes and support the implementation of improvements to streamline and gain efficiency via ADP Workforce Now.
- Support in developing standard operating procedure documentation for processes in and outside of ADP.
- Assist with updating and maintaining the employee Intranet page.
- Execute miscellaneous projects that involve preparation and analysis of system data.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- A strong interest in HR processes and practices.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong desire to build relationships/collaboration skills.
- Possess a process improvement, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ideally Bachelor or Master's program student pursuing a degree Human Resources or Business Administration with an emphasis/focus on HR, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; excel proficiency preferred.
- Curiosity to stay abreast of current industry trends.
- $25 - $35 per hour based on the level of degree program.
