$4,000 Sign-On Bonus. 40 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off. Career Ladder Bonus eligible. Job Summary
This role performs administrative duties under direct supervision, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records. Clinical duties may include measuring vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, and stocking supplies. Depending on location and training, the MA III may draw blood or perform waived testing on specimens. This position involves administering medications. Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Graduation from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, medication administration basics, and completion of a clinical externship. Experience
No prior experience required. Previous experience in people-facing roles preferred. Previous experience in healthcare settings, particularly ambulatory clinics, preferred. Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Carry out delegated tasks under provider supervision. Proficient computer skills. Licensure/Certification/Registration
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required within 90 days of hire. Certification or registration from a CoxHealth-approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP; or LPN.
