Additional Information About the Position: $46,470 - $63,219 per year salary range (estimated) 40 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off Career Ladder Bonus eligible Job Description: The Medical Assistant III performs administrative duties under the supervision of a supervisor or physician, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records. Clinical duties involve measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, and stocking supplies. Job Requirements: Education:
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Formal MA training program completion with pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, medication administration basics, and clinical externship required.
Experience:
None required; previous experience in direct contact work preferred. Previous healthcare setting experience, particularly in ambulatory clinics, is also preferred.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Capacity to carry out delegated tasks under provider supervision. Proficient computer skills.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
American Heart Association BLS certification within 90 days of hire required. CoxHealth approved certification program certification or registration required: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP; LPN also accepted.
