Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced attorney with 3-6 years of experience, preferably in construction law or construction litigation. Candidates with undergraduate training in engineering, construction science, or architecture are highly encouraged to apply, though this background is not required if the candidate demonstrates substantial relevant legal experience. Litigation experience, particularly in handling complex cases, is a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in construction-related legal matters, including contract disputes, defect claims, and professional liability issues. Provide strategic counsel on construction contracts, risk management, and compliance with industry regulations. Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trials. Draft and negotiate construction-related agreements such as subcontractor contracts, design agreements, and other project documentation. Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, and other professionals in the construction and legal fields. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and ensure the best outcomes for clients. Assist with alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar. 3-6 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on construction law, construction litigation, or related practice areas. Strong litigation skills, including trial experience or significant involvement in complex cases. Familiarity with the construction industry, including contracts, project workflows, and regulatory requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to clients and stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
