Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote)
- Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000
- Level: Senior
This position involves leading electrical design projects, collaborating across disciplines, and managing teams of engineers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll focus on designing and coordinating electrical systems for healthcare and hospital facilities while supporting project management and construction phases.
Responsibilities
Pre-Design Engineering
- Conduct field surveys, gather data, and prepare site assessment reports.
- Develop schematic electrical designs to establish project frameworks.
- Create power single-line and riser diagrams.
- Perform advanced electrical calculations, including arc flash, short circuit, voltage drop, and load flow using ETAP/SKM.
- Design and coordinate lighting, power circuits, and control systems.
- Prepare fire alarm layouts, riser diagrams, and related documentation in compliance with International Fire Code and NFPA 72.
- Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, civil, structural, and architectural teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Develop medium and low voltage electrical systems aligned with California Electrical Code and Energy Standards.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects, overseeing senior engineers and sub-consultants.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to design engineers.
- Prepare client proposals and foster relationships with new and existing clients.
- Review and respond to RFIs and equipment submittals.
- Conduct punch walks and prepare detailed punch list reports.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.
- Familiarity with HCAI requirements and healthcare/hospital projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
