Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote)
• Salary Range: $135,000-$180,000

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in medium-voltage infrastructure design to contribute to innovative and complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing systems ranging from 2.4kV to 35kV, including switchgear, transformers, and SCADA systems. This role involves technical leadership, project management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Design Engineering

• Conduct field surveys to gather data for electrical system designs.
• Prepare site assessment reports and develop schematic designs.

Project Management

• Manage multiple large-scale projects, coordinating with senior engineers and sub-consultants.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide design teams with technical expertise.
• Develop proposals for clients and cultivate business relationships.

Construction Administration

• Respond to RFIs and review equipment submittals.
• Perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports to ensure quality standards.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power and Energy Systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in medium-voltage infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.
• Prior experience with port projects and federal site access is required.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Technical Expertise

• Medium voltage system design, including underground distribution, shore power, and related calculations.
• Specification and coordination of protective relaying and SCADA systems.
• In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code and design standards.
