We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and supplies are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires strong negotiation skills, excellent supplier management capabilities, and a solid understanding of inventory control and logistics. We offer H1B sponsorship.
Duties - Oversee the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance. - Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality and timely delivery of goods. - Conduct inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess. - Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast material needs. - Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. - Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations. - Collaborate with various departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications. - Implement effective logistics strategies to streamline the supply chain process. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory levels.
Qualifications - Proven experience in procurement management or a related field. - Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and techniques. - Familiarity with contract management processes and negotiation strategies. - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
