District: Flint Community Schools Job Summary: The Special Education School Social Worker (SSW) provides services to Special Education students. The SSW also assists the staff with determining appropriate data collection methods, evaluates observation data and makes recommendations to the building team and building administrator that may include plan modifications or new strategy implementation.
Salary & Benefits:
Teacher Basic Salary Schedule
Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs equal to the difference between the premium cost and the annual cost limitation imposed on public employers.
Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university. Valid State of Michigan (LARA) Master's Social Worker License. Fulfills requirements for approval as a School Social Worker by the Michigan Department of Education. Must upload a copy of MDE SSW Approval letter or copy of college SSW-310 Form.
Experience: Previous social work experience in a public school setting or related agency preferred.
