Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Details provided upon inquiry Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required from a dedicated children's facility; 1.5 years preferred for children's hospital experience License: California RCP License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP (Advanced; must be in hand or registered for an Advanced class) Must-Have: - Strong pediatric ICU skill set - Experience in at least two of the three specialized ICUs: Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, or Cardiothoracic ICU - Trachs and vents expertise - Experience with suctioning and oxygen therapies - NICU Level 4 experience and Trauma Level 1 experience preferred Job Description: - Provide respiratory therapy services in a dedicated pediatric environment. - Participate in care at multiple intensive units including NICU, PICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU. - Administer treatments and therapies to pediatric patients with various conditions, such as asthma, bronchiolitis, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, and more. - Engage with high-acuity patients on floors including pulmonary, trauma, and medical units. - Make use of non-invasive and invasive ventilation, including specialty gases like heliox and iNO. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-quality, Magnet, teaching facility - Maintain up-to-date records in the Epic charting system. - Adhere to facility's scheduling requirements including weekend shifts. - Must be willing to float within the facility to meet patient care needs.
