Travel RRT - $1,949 per week in San Diego, CA

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Hours are guaranteed after the call-off policy has been met. Experience: Experience in a children's hospital preferred. Willing to consider candidates with 1 year if they are more experienced RRT, otherwise 1.5 years preferred. License: California RCP License required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP (AHA) - Must be Advanced. Must-Have: - Strong pediatric ICU skill set, able to work across at least two of the three ICUs. - Experience with Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, or Cardiothoracic ICU. - Experience with trachs, vents, suctioning, and oxygen. - Trauma Level 1 and NICU Level 4 experience. Job Description: - Candidates are required to have at least 1 year of experience from a dedicated children's facility or 1.5 years at a dedicated children's hospital. - Locals accepted as travelers. - Willing to float within the facility as needed. - Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period, potentially on 2 full weekends in a 4-week schedule block. - No scheduling requests allowed; accommodating block schedule not available. - Pending state licenses accepted at submission. - Candidates will float within the hospital and for NICU, they float to satellite locations. - The facility is a children's hospital, a Magnet, Teaching, and Level 1 trauma center with a total of 57 staffed beds. - Patient care involves pediatric acute care, pulmonary floor, trauma, medical, PICU, NICU, and CTICU. - Modules must be completed before start; modules are non-billable and not considered as orientation hours. - Required to work 2 out of 3 holidays. - Flu shot required, COVID-19 vaccine not required. - Perm staff need to wait a year to be eligible to travel.
