At Living Resources, the Recruiter is responsible for supporting recruitment activities for a variety of non-exempt positions. This will include the sourcing, screening, and interviewing to best match the various talent needs of Living Resources. The incumbent will assist the organization with monitoring and addressing its current workforce talent needs with a focus on our programs that utilize direct support staff. The incumbent will also support Living Resources’ brand and positive workforce culture attending recruitment events and collaborating with community partners. Provide recruitment support for designated programs within the agency. Meet with hiring managers in various departments to understand their business operations and work with them to identify their current talent needs. Assist the HR team with developing and implementing an ongoing recruitment and hiring strategy that aligns with Living Resources current needs and longer-term goals. Manage application process within ATS by creating postings, positions, and tracking details related to candidate application. Remain current on best practices related to sourcing and recruiting direct support level candidates. Will support other roles as needed. Screens applications and identifies qualified candidates for managers. Supports the identification by giving manager a candidate summary. Generate leads and develop new business connections Lead and support external recruitment events including college job fairs, community recruitment events and other public initiatives and events to attract talent and introduce the world to our efforts. Will backup Talent Acquisition Specialist in working with our Communications and Development department to generate content and engage social media users through all available social media platforms that Living Resources utilizes or should utilize. Work with other members of recruitment team to identify community organizations that can support our recruitment efforts and proactively establish working relationships with them. Collaborate with HR team and hiring managers to ensure candidates are contacted in a timely manner. Serve as a backup to the Onboarding Specialist. This will include driving all steps of the onboarding of new hires for the agency including downstate and outlying programs. Schedules interviews as needed to support the candidate process Be an active and engaged member of the HR team. Requirements Associates degree with 1 year of experience in a Human Resources environment. Will consider candidate with high school diploma with 4 years experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfort with public speaking. Solid knowledge of effective recruitment techniques, including the use of social media platforms. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. Ability to communicate with business partners and colleagues in a clear, straight forward and professional manner Demonstrated ability and desire to be creative and innovative. Demonstrated ability to be proactive, work independently with a sense of urgency and take accountability for decision-making. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to work variable hours; may include weekends, and nights Independently motivated toward supporting teammates, and a positive attitude Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation with willingness to travel.
