LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 260 days DATE REVISED SEPT 18, 2015 WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $19.20
Minimum $27.35
Maximum PAY GRADE: AU5
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Electrician is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all electrical systems in the district.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or GED required At least three years’ experience in electrical field Journeyman’s License Able to read blueprints and schematics Dependable and cooperative. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Performs electrical work in the district that requires a licensed electrician. • Maintains the time keeping clock, bell systems and public address systems • Make repairs and new installations that are acceptable to the building code and/or local city ordinance. • Responsible for successfully completing all work orders and submit to office staff in a timely manner. • Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others. • Perform other relate duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED: • Electric power tools, district vehicle, two-way radio, aerial lift, trenching machines
WORKING CONDITION: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: • Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying. • Work outside and inside; exposure to extreme weather conditions; working on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; working on ladders and scaffolding.
