** Summary
**
This technical position supports the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division. The position involves operating as part of a team of Information Assurance (IA) professionals in developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity information technology solutions to secure business operations across the Air Force. The primary tasks entail providing Information Assurance (IA) subject matter expertise in the areas of policy development, product support, implementation strategies, and operational process analysis in support of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Common Access Card, and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) activities in the Air Force. Requires professional and communications skills needed to coordinate Air Force efforts with both DoD and non-DoD partners.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide services as part of a team of IA professionals in support of enterprise operations continuity
Act as liaison between the multiple AF and DoD communities for review of functional and operational requirements and performance of Air Force PKI and authentication/authorization systems
Identify developmental and new authentication and authorization technologies; evaluate capabilities in relation to known AF needs and operational missions; develop and recommend courses of actions related to the technologies
Support risk management through identification of risks associated with tradeoffs and technology gaps to include providing risk assessment and mitigation analysis and feedback.
Identifying and analyze operational considerations and constraints that would prevent enterprise solutions from being effectively fielded, operated, and supported by various platforms
Assist in the development and improvement of operational processes and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Must be able to regularly stand, walk; sit; use hands to handle, feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Education/Experience
Experience in the Cyber/PKI/IA community
Experience in supporting the fielding of new PKI or IA associated software or hardware
Ability to communicate highly technical information effectively both orally and in writing
Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Knowledge of DoD Acquisition and Risk Management processes
Ability to work with a wide variety of contributors in a fast-paced and demanding environment is essential
