We are conducting a search for one of our clients, for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will manage all accounting functions and provide direction for accounting staff. This position executes day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and banking responsibilities. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $90,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Month-end, quarterly, annual close including preparing financial statements and sales reporting for the executive team.Coordinates annual financial external audit. Manages PBC listing and implements audit recommendations.Files tax reports including property tax and sales and use tax.Prepares and monitors OPEX and CAPEX budgets for multiple departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Purchasing.Manages Accounts Payable including processing check runs on a weekly basis, reconciling company credit card statements, reconciling AP subledger to GL, and calculating sales commissions.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.Fluent Japanese speaker required.5+ years experience minimum required.Working knowledge of ERP (Great Plains preferred but not required).In-depth knowledge of US GAAP including understanding of financial audit process and requirements.Experienced with all accounting cycles (AR, AP, GL, inventory costing) and with sales and use tax compliance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of income tax compliance is a plus.
Location: Onsite in Union City, CA.
