TeamBuilders Employment & Business Solutions is recruiting for an experienced
Cost Accounting Manager
to join a local business in the Fresno, CA area.
The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost accounting, providing analysis, implementing cost control measures and providing accurate financial information to ensure the sustainability and financial well being of the company.
The ideal candidate will posses at least 5 years' experience of effective cost accounting within a manufacturing or food production environment in addition to effectively managing staff within the cost accounting department.
The Cost Accounting Manager role is being offered on a direct hire, full time basis, Monday through Friday. Company offers an outstanding benefits package, excellent work environment in addition to a competitive starting salary of up to $140K yearly. A relocation package will be offered if necessary.
The Essential Duties of the Cost Accounting Manager to Include:Development, implementation and management of the company's cost accounting systems, procedures and policiesPerforming analysis of the company's financials and making recommendations where necessaryManagement and maintenance of the company's standard costs associated with inventory for multiple locations, including raw materials and finished goodsReview inventory cost forecasts in collaboration with the Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely pricing changes and adjust standard costs as necessary to maintain costing accuracy and update standards as required by market conditionsProvide assistance to the Supply Chain team with margin budgets during the annual budget processCompletion of quarterly standard cost updates to ensure consistency with actual costsProvide accurate budget to actual analysis related to price, yield, and standard marginsAssist with the annual financial statement audit by providing support during the annual physical inventory counts and related observation by the audit team, leading the schedule preparation and supporting documentation gathering for all inventory and cost testing required during audit fieldwork and other areas, as requiredReview and analyze purchase price variances, yield variances and other pricing, volume, or yield discrepancies to ensure accuracyPrepare and present cost reports, budgets, and financial statements to management, highlighting key cost drivers and variancesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficienciesEnsure compliance with accounting principles and company policiesBuild, lead and manage a highly efficient cost accounting team while providing guidance, training and performance evaluationsAdditional related duties as requiredQualifications
The Required Skills, Experience and Education of the Cost Accounting Manager:
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing Cost Accounting functions within a Manufacturing or Food Processing environmentBachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited college required, MBA or CPA certification is preferredExpertise in cost accounting principles, practices and proceduresProficiency with utilizing ERP systems and advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel & Word)Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailProfessional communication skills; verbal, interpersonal and writtenAbility to manage multiple projects effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting tight and conflicting deadlinesStrong leadership and managerial abilities to manage & develop a team of cost accounting professionalsIf you have the experience and skills to successfully carry out the role of the Cost Accounting Manager and would like to be considered, please submit your resume and cover letter for immediate review.
